Well, it is hard to chew til my bottom dentures are repaired, which will take a month or so. since one of my crowns broke also. Any suggestions to getting protein in? — linda M. (posted on July 11, 2003)

Protein drinks, tuna salad, egg salad - no need to chew.
I'm pre-op, but I had some dental work done recently.
Does your surgeon have a nutritionist?
Good luck!

Hi! I had the remainder of my teeth pulled last summer, at 6 months
post-op and this was a real problem for me. I ended up using quite a few
protein shake mixes and other things... email me and we can talk. My
profile has tons of ideas on it, but I can help you more if I know what you
LIKE to eat... then I can help you figure out how to modify it for this
situation. I'm writing a book on this, actually, so it willhelp me and you!
:~) Hugs

How about trying some baby food meats (chicken, turkey), or yogurt. They
are soft and don't require any chewing.
