I have UHC Select POS and was turned down for everything, twice, so I have
to pay for it myself. But here are the codes my p.s. used: 15831 for
abdominoplasty with panniculectomy; 19316-50 for bilateral mastopexy
(breast reduction), and 15832-50 for thigh reconstruction. Good luck!

It would be very presumptuous for someone to tell their surgeon what codes
to put on his paperwork. Would you mail your recipies to an acquaintance's
house if invited to dinner? As an previous office manager/insurance coder,
this would make me think a patient had a screw loose if they actually told
me how to do my job - I'm a professional with years of experience and this
is rather insulting, although clearly not intended to be.

Rebecca - Another AMOS member got after me for being rude to you about your
coding question. I hope you will forgive me. I certainly didn't intend to
hurt your feelings or anything. I was just trying to point out that doing
this would be out of place as the patient.
Good luck on your journey.
