Question:
What can I expect from a tummy tuck

I am having a tummy tuck done on Oct 1 in Hanover, N. H. Is there anyone out there who has had this done At Hanover and what can I expect? I am more afraid of having this done than my original surgery over a year ago.    — Carol M. (posted on September 10, 2001)

I don't know about Hanover, but I do know that I had my abdominoplasty done by an excellent surgeon, and my recovery has been worse (pain-wise) than the VBG recovery was. It's a much larger area being worked on, or at least it was in my case--I had almost a full belt lipectomy done, plus some additional repair work on the muscles of the abdominal wall. Still, I'm very happy that the panni is gone and I can walk and dress normally.
