Question:
Has anyone changed Insurance after WLS and still got new company to approve a Tummy T

I had WLS in 03/01 and 2 months ago I changed employers and I now have BC/BS of WI and I am now very determined to have a Tummy Tuck but am worried about the new ins carrier not wanting to cover it. Any suggestions or similiar experiences. Thankyou    — lisa M. (posted on July 18, 2002)

I had united healthcare select at first then I changed to united health care choice because select denied my tummy tuck but choice approved it. I pay more but it is worth it.

I had my WLS in June of 2000 while covered by HealthNet. I had my abdominoplasty and hernia repair in December of 2001, covered by Cigna (although not without a fight).
