Question:
I need to know if there is a Protein Drink out there that is thin?

From what i have tried so far they are thick and unbearable and this is my only fear of the surgery is that i will not find anything i drink or eat because i am so picky. but i think i could tolerate something thin and if possible fruity flavored rather than the standard "chocolate or vanilla" Thank you in advance.    — Amanda P. Try GNC for Isopure or Optimum protein. Both of these are always thin.

Amanda, While following a ketogenic diet from a weightloss center a couple of years ago, I had to drink a LOT of protein drinks. The protein drinks that I purchased through the weightloss clinic were made by 'Bariatrix, Inc.'. I found them to be very yummy fruity flavored protein drinks. Since I no longer belong to that weightloss clinic, they prohibit me from being able to purchase items through them. I spent a couple of days searching the web to find out where I could purchase these 'Bariatrix' brand protein drinks that I had used and liked so much. You might want to check out this website...http://camco.automatedshops.com/cgi-bin/ams/shopzone30.cgi/st_main.html. My favorite flavors were the pineapple orange, peach mango, and wildberry passion. They are a little pricy, but are not thick shake consistency type drinks...it's more like drinking a fruity punch with artificial sweetener (In my opinion, they do not have much aftertaste either). You might want to water these drinks down a little too because I found them a bit strong at times. Hope this helps...Christine

I also like the thin drinks. I use zero carb isopure from GNC and AdvantEdge from WalMart. The isopure is a koolaid type drink, but the Advantage are more milky tasting. You can also try cream of wheat made with milk according to the recipe for babies on the box. I ate popsicles and no-fat,no-sugar ice cream bars, too. Low sugar yogurt worked for me, as well.

I found ATKINS protien drink. It is thinner than Carb Solutions. I had the creamy vanilla and it was delicious. It is available in your grocery store and comes ready to drink in individual cans.

I drink the tropical punch Extreme Pure Pro from the vitalady.com (mentioned below). I tried 23 different types from them and I like this and the Extreme ure Pro grape best. They are thin and don't have that protein after taste. I like them with ice cubes to make them very cold. Good luck. I've been one them for 10 months so far.

Yes, many are very think if you mix them with the recommended amount of water, therefore I might add some water as I don't like them thick either. Try some samples from www. vitalady.com as she has some great ones. My hubby also got me some new ones from a vitamin store. One is pre-mixed which is nice! One is called Asberry, or something and this was the best I have ever tried with only 2 grams of sugar or so..like a berry flavored fruit smoothie and it is only moxed with water. Email me if you have any questions.

GNC for ProComplex. My surgeon doesn't recommend any other kind. I personally love the chocolate mixed with water and on ice. Vanilla with orange juice tastes like a creamsicle. Fruit flavors available as well. Good luck to you. Open RNY 7/17/01.

Go to Vitalady.com and look for the Extreme Pro. I went to a taste tasteing given by her, cause over the years, I can not stomach the chocolatey thick shakes myself. The tropical punch and grape flavors are GREAT! It's like drinking koolaid, and hardly an after taste. I think you'll really like those.
