Question:
I was wondering if there were any support groups in the Northern Virginia?

I am on my way even though i am at the beginning and i would like people to talk to both pre-OP and post-OP. can anyone tell if they know of something in the Area.    — Amanda P. (posted on July 17, 2001)

Dr. Anez has a great support group called the Staple club. It meets the 3rd Monday of every month (usually). There's one on 7/23 at Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax. I believe he has them in Woodbridge as well, but do not know when. Good luck!

Amanda, I agree with Molly. The support group by Dr. Anez is fantastic. I have not had surgery yet, I am scheduled for Aug. 22nd and attended every meeting since I started looking into this. Four so far and 1 more before my surgery date. I have meet some wonderful people and have some great new friends. It is truly a comfort to find out that we are not alone.
