I had hernia repair surgery and a tummy tuck done at the same time. I was
in the hospital for 4 days. My recovery time was about 6 weeks.

Jan,
I cannot answer your question but I would like to know how you found out
you were qualified? I am interested in the same procedure myself. If you
get the time I would love to talk with you about the surgery. My email

I had hernia repair and abdominoplasty 2 weeks ago. I was supposed to be
outpatient (no way as someone else already said) and was actually in for 2
days which I think was at least a day or 2 too few. Pain management is the
issue. I was on a morphine PCA up until about 3 hours before they sent me
home. I was taking 2 and 3 percocets every 2-3 hours for the first 4 days
after I got home. I also had them add toradol shots that I gave myself at
home which helped alot. It was a good week postop before I could go more
than 4-5 hours with no pain med. Sorry if I am scaring you--but I think it
is good to be prepared. I found this surgery much more painful than the
original one. I also went home with 2 Jackson pratt drains in that were in
for 10 days. But I would do it again in a heartbeat. The results are
amazing and I am so glad I did it. Good luck and feel free to write me if
you have any questions---
