Question:
Great Tasting Protien Bars?? Is there such a thing?
I Never thought anything would taste as good as being thin!! LOL! Great news for protien bar hunters!!! Grap a Detour bar the next time you are in GNC or Rite Aid... This is the most awsome tasting protien supplement on earth. I mean it... it tastes just like a snickers bar!! AND itis GOOD for you! LOL!! Supplement Facts per one 40 gram bar: 160 Calories; 45 of those calories are from fat; total fat grams, 5; 20 mg of cholesterol; 13 total carbs (fiber-2 grams, sugar-5 grams); 15 grams of protien; and lots of vities! I am going out to grab a box of these today... the FIRST time I have EVER bought a whole box of one kind in 15 months... these are that awesome! My HUSBAND eats them!! He HATES soy and whey protien. He really likes these, and can't taste the protien. I have to get enough now, so he can take one for a snack at work every day! LOL!! Better than LOTS of things he eats instead! The Detour Bar is awesome Mmmmm. I eat 2 protien bars a day and I just buy
what ever has no/low sugar like EAS carb control or Adkins advantage, I
like trying new brands and flavors since I eat them so much. I know alot of
people don't like them, but it's like eating candy for me....I love protien
bars, they took over my OLD sweet tooth :o)

I bought 6 cases of these.(over 100 bars) got a GREAT deal from GNC (with
sale/and my Gold card) I loveeeeeeeeee em...I don't usually have problems
with sugar, but I find if I eat the whole bar at once...I get
"sleepy" (my way of dumping) yummmmmmmmmmmm-

I'm a big Detour fan. I eat about a half of one every few days.
Surprisingly I don't like the Uturn bars. Detours are bills as
Snickers-like and I believe they are. Uturns are billed as Milky Way-like
and they aren't. I was disappointed.

I have one Detour bar a day now and its gotten so that I have given up all
other protein bars, even my Balance Gold, for the Detour. Detour used to
come in big bars but now they come in single serving bars that are much
easier to handle as described by the poster. They are really good!! The
GNCs in our area only carry the big bars, but I found the smaller ones at
Trader Joes.

I love them and Im still pre-op. They dont have that yucky after taste.

Didn't love 'em. I can tolerate half a Detour bar if it is frozen. My
purpose for eating them is to have a "meal on the go", and I
really think they have an awful aftertaste when at room temperature. I have
tried others and have not found one that is worth eating, yet.

I too loved the Detour bar! Can't eat much at a time though. I tried the
Protein 8 in Chocolate Coconut flavor (such a heavenly smell!!) which was
good in small amounts, but THE MOST EXCELLENT BAR: Power Crunch (from
wlssuccess.com). OMG, you would never know that you are not eating a
'normal' cookie snack. I just ordered a case.

I really enjoy the Uturn bars. I like the detour bars too, but like the
Uturn more. I can't stand any other kind of protein bar.
