Debbie, I have a question for you. What Protein bars are you eating? I'm
trying to find one that I can eat. I'm sorry I can't answer your question.
I am really struggling with fish, chicken, etc. I gag! If you can tell me
what/where the protein bars are, I'd be thrilled. Thanks.

I don't know anything about the chips, but there is a cookie called
Protocookie that comes in several flavors. It has no sugar, 15 grams of
whey protein per cookie. Each cookie is 2oz., 130(?) calories. 10 grams
of carbs per cookie. 3 grams of fat. The chocolate chip is excellent! So
is the banana nut. Actually, I can't take credit for this
"find". Someone else mentioned it here a couple weeks ago.
Protcookie.com. Check it out. You can order a variety pack to try them
all. They're not particularly cheap, but for a once in a while treat?
Now, as for the protein bars. Not my favorite thing, either. But I did
find that the Carb Solutions bar in peanut butter cup (I think that's what
it's called) is pretty good if you eat it cold. I ALWAYS keep them in the
fridge and eat them that way. Warm? Blech! Nasty. Not too bad cold,
though. Or try the EAS low carb bar in Cookies & Cream, refrigerated
also. Good luck.

Have you tried soy portein. I am trying a product called Revival Soy. It
comes in bars, powdered drinks, soy nuts, and coffee. So far, I have really
liked it. The web site is www.revivalsoy.com

Hey there. I had a really hard time with Protein drinks and bars too and
Katie mentioned on here about Jarrow's Iso-Rich Soy powder that you can
cook with. I've been using it ever since. I've added it to salsa, soups,
milk for cereal(Kasha Go-Lean Crunch has 9 grams of protein by itself),
stews, casseroles, crock pot meals even mashed potatoes. Today, I was
really craving a blueberry muffin so I made some homemade with Splenda and
added the powder to enough of the batter to make 2 muffins. Wow...eating
1/2 a muffin that's sugar free AND had 12 grams of protein in it! (Somehow
that just seems wrong! ;-) I try to stay away from the carbs as much as
possible so I don't kill myself over it when I have a little once in a
while. Anyway, this powder stuff is wonderful and is tasteless. Good luck
to you.

I am 12 weeks post op and having the same problem! I can only eat so many
eggs, and shrimp goes pretty well, but meat is another story! I have had a
hard time finding a protein drink that is palatable, but have found a
couple of protein bars that are pretty good. Balance Gold Energy bar in
Rocky Road, and Zone Perfect in chocolate Rasberry. Each has 14-15 grams
protein, but do have 11-13 grams sugar. Because of that I split them into
2 servings and have done fine. I was going to order the Jarrow's Iso Rich
Soy Protein since it was tasteless, but was told by several people that we
don't absorb much of the soy protein and should have Whey...anyone here
that as well???

There is a wonderful crunch snack called Genisoy crisps. They are like the
Quaker 'Quakes'. I don't know the info as to how much protein, but they
are made with soy. www.genisoy.com I aked a local health food store about
them because they carried the Genisoy 'nuts'. She ordered me a few bags
and her a few bags to try. She loved them and now stocks them all the
time!! The BBQ is excellent. Like the poster below, I eat the Zone
Perfect protein bars found at Walmart and Target. They do have sugar, but
that is why they taste so good. Its the only one I can tolerate, and now
have my husband hooked on one daily. My fav is the peanut butter choc., my
husbands fav is the fudge graham. The strawberry yogurt is also very good.
They have lemon yog, blueberry yog, choc. rasberry and some kind of apple
something. They have 17 grams of protein in them. So, yeah, a little
sugar, but I'll take it to help get that protein in! My tastes are so
picky when it comes to the protein products and I have wasted SO much money
on trying different ones. Hope you find something you like.

I second the vote on the Genisoy chips - I've tried all 3 flavors (ranch,
BBQ & onion/garlic). Our local supermarket (Pathmark) stocks them in
the health food section. They run me about $2.50/bag. A little
expensive when you consider there are only 3.5 servings per bag, but not
too bad...JR (open RNY 07/17 -83 pounds)

I saw some protein cookies on QVC a couple of months ago.
I think they were called pure delight or something like
that. They were low carb and high protein. They had
chocolate chip and peanutbutter. The good thing about QVC
is that if you don't like them you can send them back!
