Question:
Can I drink a glass of wine occasionally with dinner?

As usual, ask your doc. But I had a glass of red wine with dinner 2 weeks ago and was fine.

Leigh, I am one year post-op and have had an occasional glass of wine in the past 2-3 months. I usually only drink half a glass, as that's all it takes to get a buzz for me! I don't dump on sugar, so I don't know if that's a consideration for you. I believe in moderation in everything, so if you can tolerate it, I think you should feel free to have a glass of wine with dinner now and then!

Hi, You may not know this yet but after having this surgery you are not supposed to have any liquids with meals. Also alchohol goes to your bloodstream faster having such a small stomach that it could be dangerous. Maybe this wasn't explained to you by your surgeon's program?
