I love the Pure Protein bars - especially the S'Mores. My surgeon said they were fine - definitely not too many carbs.

The last pick for me! I love the EAS Advantage Bars(apple cinnamon, cookies n cream, blueberry), Atkins Advantage Bars(almost all of them) or Carb Solutions(frosted blueberry). I do buy Pure Protien though, I always look for the Bars on sale. Every week I save so much money on them from the sales, which is good b/c I eat 1-2 a day :o)

I am a big fan of Luna and Balance Gold bars. I am not trying to low carb and the sugar in these bars has never bothered me. EAS Myoplex Lemon Cheesecake was like death in a wrapper. By far the nastest thing I have ever put in my mouth. I've tried most of the bars in the past year or so, because I can't get the protein drinks down. Believe me, I've tried. The Luna bars are more like a granola bar, and my favorite flavor is Chocolate Pecan and Smores. The Balance Gold Peanut Butter Chocolate and Caramel Nut Blast are really good too. Best of luck to you.

Everyone's tastes are different when it comes to protein bars. What some people love, I think tastes like cardboard. I haven't found any protein bars with extremely low carbs and sugar that I like, and I have tried dozens and dozens. My two favs are the Balance Gold bars (12 grams of sugar and 20 something carbs) and the Detour bars (20 something carbs and about 9 grams of sugar). I usually eat 1/2 (Detour) or 3/4 of a bar at a time so that cuts the carbs per serving. Try enough of them and you'll find one that you like.
