You can take tylenol but not aleve. Aleve is in the same category as
ibuprophen/advil. They are both NSAIDS (anti-inflamatory drugs) which I was
told not to take ever again post surgery. If you have trouble taking pills,
tylenol comes in an adult liquid, but it is not the best tasting stuff.

Also, if it's a dull ache, try just drinking some water. We kinda tend to
dehydrate a bit, and the headache is the first sign. Water is not a bad
thing at all.

Check with your surgeon. Mine also said only Tylenol products, but you also
have to be careful with antihistimines, cold meds, etc. My doc gave me a
list of the "ok" meds - certainly your doc can provide you a list
as well. Good luck to you@!

Hi, AMOS member Brenda Singer has tons of helpful info on her site (I think
I'm her biggest fan!LOL). She includes a list of various meds we can and
cannot take post-op. The link is:

Check with your doctor. Mine told me only LIQUID TYLENOL. No advil or any
other products.
