Question:
What's the difference in a TUMMY TUCK, PANNI and BODY LIFT???
What surgery should I ask for? Does it depend on my body type? I will need the sag in my stomach/pubic area and my legs done. Thanks! — Robby E. (posted on October 29, 2002)

A panni is the removal of excess skin from the tummy. A tummy tuck is about
the same thing, but we tighten the muscles as well (i work for a plastic
surgeon)A lower body lift is a tummy tuck and a thigh lift together, also
called a belt lipectomy, the incision wraps around you like a belt. hope
this helps :-)

A Panniculectomy is the medical term for tummytuck,I am having a
panniculectomy done on December 2nd. The Plastic Surgeon said the scar will
be hip to hip, I am also getting a breast reduction/lift done at the same
time,, I can hardly wait. I asked my PS. about the coochie lift,
(tightening up the pubic area), he said I didn't need it, I thought how
would I know I haven't seen that area in a long time,of course I didn't
tell him that!!:) , I could use a thigh lift, but my insurance is paying
for both of the others, so I wasn't about to ask to get my arms and thighs
done as well, my arms and legs are tightening up pretty good from weight
training though, but stomach and boobs are a lost cause...
