Question:
Is it okay to take Body Solutions post op??

Has anyone taken Body Solutions/Bodyu Success post op? Is it okay to take, and does it work. Body Solutions is a liquid u take a tablespoon of on an empty stomach before at bedtime. This burns fat while you sleep. It works post op, I wonder if it will work post op. For those who may not know what this is, here is the website... http://www.bodysolutions.com/products/    — Shavonne P. (posted on July 24, 2002)

One of the nice things about WLS is we no longer have to take diet stuff that doesn't work. I'm sure you'll lose weight without the "gimmicks'.

You might want to check. There are 3-4 of these products on the market. Some are buffered, some are not. Non-buffered collagen can feel like gasoline in your pouch.

I'd like to tell you about my family's experience with Body Solutions. My husband started taking BS in December. He is in excellent health, but had about 25 lbs to lose. After nearly 2 weeks, he developed chest pain and ended up in the ER. A full cardiac workup and a followup with a cardiologist showed no damage to his heart, but his electrolytes were all out of whack. He was on medication for a while, and once the Body Solutions was poured down the drain, he started getting better. BE CAREFUL! I'd hate for the same thing to happen to you.

It is a gimmick. Gimmicks do not work. Why would you go to all of the trouble and expense of WLS and then resort back to a gimmick?? The whole POINT of WLS is to have a tool to work with that does away with the useless gimmicks forever!

I heard a report that the makers of body solutions is being sued for false claims, sounds like a waste of money, anyway just eat like a normal person now, thats beauty of the surgery, you no longer need to be searching endlessly for that magic potion to make you thin.

I dont know if you can, but why would you want to? Being a biologist, I can tell you there is NO SUCH pill that can "burn fat." That is a total false claim. The only way to burn fat is to exercise. Most of these diet pills or liquids are simply diuretics which make you pee. That's probably why there was the reference to electrolyte imbalance.

There was a segment on our local news about this product a few weeks ago. They said the ingredient that helps you lose weight in this product is the Aloe Vera, which acts as a laxative. This can really mess up your electrolytes and get you into trouble. They are involved with many lawsuits.
