McDonalds has an information packet on nutritional content of their foods;
all you have to do is ask. My guess is that the yogurt has too much sugar,
as well as the granola. Sounds like dumping food for us RNY'ers.

I had the fruit and yogurt at about 3 weeks out and it is fabulous! I'm
sure it's high in sugar and fat, though. I had the DS so I didn't dump
(and fat is highly malapsorbed). I didn't have any negative reactions to
it and it tasted really great. I figured that fresh fruits (or frozen ones
LOL) would be a better choice over any other kind of sugars and the yogurt
does have protein in it... I couldn't finish the entire thing and wouldn't
eat it everyday but it was a great treat! All the best, (lap bpd/ds

I found the answer on mcdonalds.com...with granola the parfait has 380
cal/5g fat/76g carb/10g protein. Without the granola added the totals are
280 cal/4g fat/53g carb/8g protein. Sorry..the sugar totals aren't
indicated....Hope this helps!

Watch out for any dairy products. the lactose will make you dump. Milk
sugars are dangerous and I am almost 8 yrs post op and dumped from low fat
icecream about 2 weeks ago. If at all possible, stay away from McDs,
BK,Taco Bell and all fast food places. High fats as well as the sugars can
really get ya. rita rny 3/31/94 463 today 190ish give or take a gallon of
water.

I have 1/2 of one as a treat every once in a great while...it is very high
in sugar! I usually can get away with about 12 grams of sugar...so the
parfaits must have 20+
because half way thru I start getting the dumpy feeling!

They sound good in theory, but I got "sick" after eating part of
one at 6 months post-op open RNY. I haven't tried one again since (I am now
9 months), but I think the sugar content was high. I have become somewhat
lactose-intolerant post-op so maybe that was to blame. Good Luck!
