Question:
I have to take several large pills on a daily basis , How can I keep them down?

After my surgery I am worried I won't be able to swallow and keep down the several large pills I have to take. Anyone else have this problem and/or suggestion?    — Jana F. (posted on November 17, 2000)

Hi! You didn't post what type of surgery you will be having, but I will tell you my experiences. I had an open RNY and my pouch is about 1 1/2 oz. I take several pills and some of them are HONKERS! I don't have any trouble at all. I take them 1 at a time with plenty of water or Crystal Light. Good Luck...

My husband & I are both post-op several years (RNY) and take lots of vitamins & such. I was afraid for the first month, so split them up or opened them. But now, nah, no big deal at all.
