Question:
Did anyone else have their tummy tuck & get married within 2 months of each other?

Hi, all! I am planning an October wedding, and would also like to try and have a tummy tuck around August. My question is: did anyone else undertake their tummy tuck close to a major event like this? Is this cutting it too close? We are only taking a 2-4 day honeymoon because of work/financial resources, so that's not really a consideration. For such an important event in your life, I think that is cutting to close. I had my TT 12-5, and because of complications am still in need of dressing changes and medication. I'm sure you will be complication free,because what happened to me is rare, but I wouldn't risk it. Could you have your TT in June instead? The other thing is, even without complications, my tummy muscles are still a little sore sometimes.

Here is my opinion. I had my TT on 1/7/04. I am still swollen. I am JUST starting to get back into my clothes. and some are still too small. I looked smaller before with a tight girdle on. My PS told me it could take 6 months before I will see final results. I would plan on at least 3 month for swelling to go down. I still have to wear a binder. your surgeon may not require it but mine does. Just a thought. Plus you have to think about how your dress is going to look.
