Question:
Any ideas for tightening up saggy skin on neck withouth having surgery?

I have quite a bit of saggy skin on my neck. I would love to tighten it up, but can't afford plastic surgery as it would be self pay. Have any of you found anything that works, besides surgery? Thanks for all you help. - Paulette    — Paulette W. (posted on July 7, 2002)

Hi. I have seen commericals for and read on the web about a device called the Dermaltone. It causes the facial muscles to contract using tiny electrical pulses. The before and afte pictures are very impressive. It APPEARS to work. Used ones can also be found on eBay. I've been thinking of buying one, but would like to hear from someone who's actually used one. Anyone out there? JK, RN

I asked my plastic surgeon about my neck last week. He said I'm too young and don't need a facelift. He could do liposuction on my neck and then tighten the muscles on the neck. This would cost $2000!!! I decided to do exercises on my own. Lift your head back and move your mouth in different directions. I've actually found this has helped improve the appearance of my neck.

In the past, when I've lost weight.. I do an exercise that seems to work fairly quickly and you can do it many times during the day. <br> Put your head all the way, open your mouth slightly and jut your lower jaw out trying to stretch your lower teeth over the uppers.. you don't get close but that is the action. You should feel it stretch the muscles from your chin down your neck. I think its fairly effective. I do it when I'm in the bathroom. That guarantees that I get it done a few times a day at the very least.

There is a product made by L'Oreal called revitalift slim it is for the neck and jaw area I use it all over my face and neck and have since the 2nd week post op. It is now 2 and a half yrs and I have no lose or saggy skin on my face or neck. I will be 53 on my next birthday and I look pretty darn good! Look at my profile , this product is amazing!
