Lap Band Procedure

I am considering having the adjustable Lap Band procedure. I can't seem to find a doctor in my area who performs it. I'm in southern NJ. Also, any lap banders out there with words of wisdom? thanks! Kathy    — Kathy K. (posted on May 4, 2002)

Hi Kathy, I think there is an OSSG group called the bandsters, but I don't have the address. You might try going to www.yahoo.com and do a search on OSSG and bandsters. In case you're not familiar with OSSG (Obesity Surgery Support Group), it's an interactive email list, very informative. Good luck!

Kathy, I just wanted to offer my support for you having the lap-band surgery. I had mine 3-25-02. It was a very easy procedure and I'm getting great results. e-mail me if I can answer any questions.
