Question:
I dont' dump and I want to
when i first had the surgery I dumped a few times, once on grape juice. now 11 months out I dont dump. yes I was silly and tested it a couple of times. the other night at a greek fesival I ate half of a baclava, no ill feeling at all. my weight loss if fine, but I would love to dump to help me to stay on track. is there any way to set it in motion again? — terri R. Your best bet is to stay away from sugar, period, if you want to stay on
track. I have never heard of any way, short of a re-vamp of surgery, that
starts the dumping again. You just have to control your intake from here on
out! You've done it so far, you can continue to do it now! Hugs!

You can reset your dump o meter by avoiding ALL sugar ZERO GRAMS for a week
r better yet a month. Then you will be very sensitive to them once you start
eating them again. This has been discussed here a lot in the past. search
dump o meter in the library. Its very effective.

I've always been a mild dumper. But last year when me and my husband did
Atkins, it did reset my dump meter. After about a month on Atkins, I had
some saltines, no sugar, but after eating hardly any carbs for that long, I
did dump on those cracker and it was pretty bad, much worse than a normal
dumping episode for me.

Was it only 1 piece? I doubt you'd dump on one piece. But yeah, don't
tempt it. I hear if you don't eat sugar for a few months that will make
you more susceptible to dumping when you finally do eat it.
