Question:
Small tablet of Calcium Citrate
I am 4 months post op and was wondering if anyone has a good brand of calcium citrate they are taking that they would be willing to share the brand and where to get it. I am not able to take large pills so I'm really curious if there's a small pill out there that would be easy to swallow. Also what is the recommended amount of calcium citrate we should be taking per day? Thanks so much! — Amy E. (posted on November 22, 2001)

Why don't you just buy a pill crusher @ Wal-Mart for $5 and crush them and
maybe mix it with a spoonful of sugar free pudding. Be creative!

We have a store named Vitamin World where I am. They sell liquid calcium
citrate in an orange cream flavor. I mix a tablespoon of that to a
tablespoon or two of orange juice twice a day. It actually is yummy.

I use the calcium citrate capsules from www.vitalady.com. The calcium in
the capsules is in powdered form and I don't even have to break them open.
These capsules go down easily, I don't feel them in my stomach after
swallowing them and they are sooooo easy to take. I take 3 a day - one in
the morning and two in the evening. They are 500 mg each for a total of
1500 mg per day.
