Question:
ANY SUGGESTIONS for Cleansing?
I am 8 months post op and am doing fine with a 95 pound weight loss. I am 181 size 14 and feel really good. I am doing a 2 day liquid fast and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for digestive cleansing. It is hard to buy commercial brands because they are loaded with sugar, does anyone have any natural ideas? Good news. I went and had a bady fat evaluation and I am only over by 4%. Working out pays off by toning. — michelle M. (posted on March 21, 2001)

Why are you having a digestive cleansing? It's sounds interesting; I'm only
two months post-op, and don't know anything about this.

I can't answer your question, but I would like to know what a digestive
cleansing is, why you are doing it, and why you are liquid fasting for two
days.

What kind of tool measured your body fat? What
is the "normal" that you are only over by 4%? What types of
toning exercises are you doing?

I'm genuinely
interested!

Hi Michelle - I don't know if this will help you but the Magazine First for
Women - April 2, 2001 issue has a Spring Detox Article...email me with any
questions...I don't want to post the stuff here just in case of copy write
violations...lol Good Luck, Karan

Hi, Its good to hear about someone else interested cleanzing and Fasting.
I personally like juice fasting when I do it. Look at www.awarecorp.com
this is a natural cleaning product line sold multilevel marketing but I
found it effective. Read and see what you think. good luck
Have you had any problems post op with the liquid fast? if so what?

You know, I've always wanted to do a cleansing, but I've always been to
hungry to fast. :) Do you have to get your vitamins in during this time?
Are you comfortable going without the protein? I would never have worried
about this pre-op, but that's cause I knew I had lots of reserves. LOL
Please keep us all posted. I know my local health food store sells a bunch
of this stuff and i'm sure they have something sugar free. I'm in Colorado
though so that may not help you. GOOD LUCK

I've done the Liver/Gallbladder cleanse and feel more energetic. A side
benefit is it shrinks your pouch.
