Question:
This is probably going to sound trivial, ...
Whenever I loose weight the first place it shows is in my breasts. It doesn't seem as if many people in the after photos have had this problem. Have most of you had reconstructive surgery? Or is this a phenomenon with weight loss surgery? Thanks, Carol — Carol M. (posted on October 20, 2002)

Mine are melting away fast. I have gone from a size 44DD to a 38D. I am
happy about it though. Mine don't look bad, I haven't had any problems
with sagging skin anywhere. Look at the pictures on my profile.

Carole: Mine have shrunk, too!!!! I was a 45DD or something.... and
really liked being at 36C for awhile... I was there from about 13 months
post-op to now (only about 7 months - sigh). I'm now a 36B. That was the
size I have been before my rapid and excessive weight gain, so I guess it's
totally 'normal' for me. I've noticed my breasts are lower than they were
before and not as 'full' (darn!) but I honestly don't think I really need a
breast lift. It sure would make them perkier but it isn't like they are
sagging excessively or have lots of skin, etc. All the best, (lap ds with
gallbladder removal, Preop: 307 lbs/bmi 45, now: 149 lbs/bmi 21)

in almost all of my weight loss, the boobs went first. For some reason,
with the sugery, this has not been true for me. It is so UNTRUE, that I
have consulted a plastic surgeon for a reduction. Good Luck!! Everyone is
different, you will not know how you will respond until you go through the
process.

My boobs were the first to go, I was a 48D and now I am wearing a 34C. I
always prided on being blessed with large breasts, but now I am really happy
that I lost them because they are proportionate with my new body, and I
don't have to worry about them sagging because they aren't big enough..LOL

I am one of those who lost boobs too.. I went from a 46DD to a 36A and I am
still losing weight. I am approaching 50 years of age, and my small boobs
are a bit saggy.. I may need to think about a breast lift at some point ..
Take care.. and dont feel alone Carol

I didn'tlose mine until about the last 25 pounds... and then I lost boobs
and butt at the same time! For a year or so I wore those Curves pads in my
bra. Then I had a lift with implants and I am very happy with them. Check
out the pink bikini After pic! hugs,

I can relate. I think by the time I am done losing I will only need a
couple of band aids instead of a bra.

You guys are great, I am now able to laugh about this worry. I'm forty
seven, forty eight in December and I'm sure that I will end up a sagging a
or b, but a healthy one. That is if I don't end up hurt myself from being
slapped around when I am finally able to exercise. ;^)
