I eat 1/2 cup and I measure here at home, away from home I am pretty good
at judging my portions of a 1/2 cup. I eat 3 meals and try to get in 3
snacks.

Hi Randy,
This is just a suggestion. If you haven't already done so you may want to
go join the April 2004 surgery message board here in OH. Its sorta neat to
compare and to find out what is going on and where you are in comparison
with your peers that had surgery in 4/2004. Most times you will be able to
get information on what they are eating, how much, etc...
My best,

I eat between 1/2 and 1 cup per meal. It depends on the day and what I'm
eating. I tend to drink protein in coffee for breakfast instead of eating
because I used to be a breakfast skipper!

Hi Randy, I am also 7 months post op. I have to tell you that I was
thinking the very same thing tonight. I was worried that I might be eating
to much. It seems that I am able to eat alittle bit more, and not sure if
I was on track or eating to much. How much are you able to eat at this
time? I guess I am around a cup (4-6oz), but it seems I can eat more at
times, and less at others. I never try and push it, and always stop when I
become full. My fear is getting back into old unhealthy habits. I have
lost 107# so far. I would enjoy your feed back. Shelly

I eat approximately 1 cup of food three times a day and I try to eat three
small protein snacks a day. I too noticed that sometimes I am able to eat
more than other times. The dietician said it was because the swelling
inside my stomach has gone down and made room for more food.
