I'm sure a lot depends on what area you're in and of course on the surgeon. Mine cost $10,000, inclusive of surgeon's fee, OR, and anesthesia, and that's in the DC area.

If you are willing to go to Mexico, There is a good plastic surgeon there who charges full cost for the first procedure, the 1/2 for any others you are wanting done. I am going to him first of the year to get Tummy tuck $3690.00 then a breast lift $1845.00 If you are interested his name is Dr Gouin in Ensenada Mexico. I had my RNY there and have no problems, and got great care in the hospital!!! Good luck to you!!!!!

I had a belt lipectomy in January. I was quoted a cash price in case insurance didn't cover it for $8,750. I had the procedure, spent 5 nights in the hospital, had no complications, and look great. My insurance was billed about $30,000. You do the math on THAT one.

A lot has to do with how extensive the procedure will be and the anount of anesthesia time. I had mine done in Feb in Green Bay WI and the list price total was $43,600. That was with every little thing billed separately by the hospital.
However, insurance covered the full extended abdominoplasty portion and I paid for the lateral thigh lift portion. My portion was done under a cosmetic surgery package price which resulted in me paying the hospital $3400 and the doctor $2542. The doctor's portion was protrated at 50% because it was a 2nd procedure. Of the $36,000 hospital bill they determined that about $16,500 related to the lateral thigh portion, so that was not billed to insurance. So the bottom line is I paid $3400 for $16,500 of hospital/anesthesia costs. Just goes to show how much mark up there was. The insurance approved the full $19,500 but paid it at 90% because that was the contracted agreement amount. So theu were paid about $17,600.
The interesting part is that if I had been a total self pay the cost would have been about $20,000 total. Not the $17,600 + $5094 (surgeon) + $7600 I paid for a total of $30,294 that was paid.
I had 10.5 hours of surgery, 3 days in the hospital, 3 blood transfusions and lots of bloodwork to watch my hemoglobin, so some of my expensive ran higher than the norm. He removed 19 lbs of skin and did quite a bit of lipo on the lateral thighs and back etc. I definitely had a lot of work done but I sure was shocked what the total ended up being.
