Question:
Has anyone heard of a doctor in Costa Rica who does plastic surgery?

I was told that there is a doctor in Costa Rica that performs plastic surgery at about 1/3 the cost of getting it done here in the States. Anyone heard anything?    — C. Zibrowski (posted on March 3, 2004)

There's a yahoo group at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/costaricaplasticsurgery/ where you can learn more. It's mostly for patients - or potential patients - of the Rosenstock Lieberman Center for Cosmetic Surgery in Costa Rica. A friend of mine just went there for extensive plastic surgery in December and she's very pleased. I may end up heading there if I can't get insurance approval here in the states. The home page of the RL Clinic is http://www.cosmetic-cr.com/ There is also another yahoo group about plastic surgery in Brazil, another popular destination known for less expensive but highly skilled surgeons. That addy is http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/MedNetBrazil/ Both of these sites are primarily about one surgeon/center in particular and I'm not very familiar with other surgeons in Costa Rica - but you can check out http://www.arrivacostarica.com/ or http://plasticsurgeryincostarica.com/ or http://www.healthcostarica.com/ to learn more about plastic surgery in Costa Rica.

Try this site: http://groups.msn.com/cosmeticsurgeryabroad It is run by patients for patients. You will find lots of info on plastic surgery in brazil, plastic surgery in mexico, plastic surgery in costa rica, plastic surgery in domincan republic, and even plastic surgery in colombia. These are first hand stories and I love this site because there is no propaganda. You hear the good, the bad, and the ugly! You must apply to join by stating why you want to be part of the group. Good Luck!
