I have heard of people coming back after 2 weeks(desk job)I was blessed. My
employer let me take 6 weeks off. It really helped me develop the habits I
needed to be sucessful.I am now at 11 months and 200+ lbs. lighter.Good

If you have laproscopic you should be fine to go back to work after two
weeks. No heavy lifting until 6 weeks out. I've had several friends that
went back after 2 weeks. I've heard open takes longer.

I have a desk job that requires that I be up and around quite a bit and I
went back after 2 weeks with no problem. Don't know about how strenuous
your work is.

I teach an active specila ed. class and went back after 3 weeks. I was
tired at night for the first week or so but I was ok.

I'm an inspector of electronic circuit boards and I stayed home for 5
weeks. But, I am also considerably older than you at 47. My surgeon let
us decide when we were ready to go back. My friend went back after 2
weeks. She was pretty wiped out, but she made it.

I'm 44 years old, had lap RNY and went back to work 11 days after surgery
(I could have gone back a day or two sooner, but it was a weekend). I have
a desk job, but do move around quite a bit during the day. The first day
back I worked 6 hours, the second day 7 hours, then full-time. I was
tired, but not exhausted, when I got home.
