Question:
How can a hernia the size of a small basket ball..
that is gonna be repaired with a T/T still get a half way flat stomach? I am scheduled to have a hernia repair with a T/T and gall bladder removal in two weeks. My hernia feels so hard. I wonder how they can make my stomach flat. Anybody ever wonder about when they had there done? What was the outcome. I know we are all different. — Marie A. (posted on February 9, 2003)

A hernia is the intestine bulging thru the stomach wall. They take the
hernia, put it back where it belongs and put a mesh patch over the area so
it can't bulge back out. It's a weakness in the lining of the stomach that
allowed the intestine to bulge out. I had 2 hernia's repaired in Nov. 02.
You'd never know I had 2 hernia's. Best wishes and continued success.
