I'm just over two weeks post-op and I'm on clear liquids for the first
three weeks and then pureed/semi-soft foods for another three weeks. After
that I should be able to start building myself up to solids. Good luck!!

Your right every doc is different. I would follow what your doc
prescribes. For my doc, we are on liquids for just the first 2 or 3 meals
post op then puree for 3 weeks then advance to just about anything you can
tolerate except raw vegetables and fruits with skin, those add later. Hope
this helps Susan

With my vbg I was on liquids for the first few days, then puree's for 6
weeks, soft foods for 6 weeks, then slowly introducing solid (normal)
foods. Every surgeon is different, but they all progress from liquids to
more solids. Good luck

My dr recommended liquids for the first 3 weeks then soft foods for the
next 3 weeks. As long as you do well he releases you to whatever you can
tolerate at 6 weeks. I was lucky, though, that he included cheese and
thinly sliced deli meat as soft foods. It sure made meals a lot easier!
