Question:
Is 23 hours enough after 7 hours of surgery?

I'm scheduled for a tummy tuck, inner thigh lift and bladder lift on August 8. These will take at least 7 hours (and 2 surgeons) to do. I am supposed to have a 23-hour overnight stay in the surgery center afterwards. I am worried that this is not enough time. Should I see if I can pay for an additional night? Anyone who has had multiple procedures like this -- please respond! I am 20 months postop from my RNY and have been at (actually slightly below) goal weight for 10 months. Dear Ann, I feel you should go ahead and pay for 1-2 nights stay after your surgery, just to make sure everything is okay. After all, you are having quite a bit of surgery hon. BTW, I saw you pic and you look beautiful! Good Luck!
