Question:
I am 7 weeks post op and can hardly eat more than a few spoonfulls
I read here of people who seem to be eating so much more than I am. I can just about finish a yogurt, or 1 slice of toast and be full for hours and I am still having trouble with "solids". Can anyone who is not eating A LOT tell me how much you can eat????? Thanks — [Anonymous] (posted on April 16, 2001)

Hi, I am 5 weeks post op and I cant eat very much. I am eating soft foods
and some solids, and I am doing very well with them. I can only eat 1/2 of
the little containers of the already made sugar free jello's. For Easter
inner I only had about 3 bites of ham, 1/4 of a deviled egg, 1 bite of
mac-n-cheese, and 1 bite of green bean casserole, and I was full. I took my
1/2 hour to eat it. Everyday is that way with me. I eat so little and I am
full. I just wonder when I will be able to eat at least a little more! So
good luck to you and know you are not the only one. I am 5 weeks post op
and down 36 pounds....forever!

I am 3 1/2 months post Lap RNY and can only eat about 1/2 cup of food at a
time and sometimes I have trouble getting 1/2 cup down. I too think I
should be able to eat a little more but I know that I will when my body
needs me to. I am down 73 pounds and I have good energy so I think all in
all I am doing ok on my 1/2 cup.
