Question:
I found B-12 strips by Health-Tech...has anyone asked their Dr. about theses?
I found these in Wal-Mart this weekend. They are just like the breath freshener strips. Sugar-free, fat-free and 0 calories. Supposedly it is 4167% of the daily value needed (according to the supplement facts). $1.66 for a pack of 24. This is an awesome find if it works...I was just wondering if anyone else has seen these and if they've asked their doc about them. — Michelle S. (posted on February 15, 2005)

I found the same things at wal-mart. I also found Spray vitamins. I don't
know how well they work, please let me know what you find out.

I found these also and I tried them. The only thing is you have to take at
least 5 a day to get what we are suppose to have. So money wise the
sublingual tablets are better.

Michelle,
unless the strips are sublingual, the b12 won't be absorbed. (this isn't
true for VBGers or lap banders). The bottom part of our stomach that is
bypassed, is where the intrinsic factor is made that makes it possible for
us to be able to absorb the b12. We can absorb it either sublingually
through the veins under the tongue, or by injections monthly.
As far as the spray vitamins, you cannot absorb enough of it through your
mouth to make it even worthwhile to use.
I wouldn't chance it. call your surgeons office and ask them, or if they
have nutritionist, ask them.
Good luck in your journey.
