Question:
Trying to figure out when is the best time to take
my biotin (800 mcg made my Sundown) and vitamin C (500 mg chewable as ascorbic acid and sodium ascorbate, generic brand). I have a pretty good handle on the vitamins that I am already using, but would like to add Biotin and extra vit C. are there any certain kind of biotin/vit c that i should take/avoid. I take, in the morning and with dinner; chewable mulit-vit with iron (generic), Niferex-150 Forte capsules (150 mg elemental iron, 60 mg Ester-C, 1mg Folic acid , 25mcg Vitamin B12), 800 mcg folic acid (generic) and colace. At lunch and bedtime i take; 250 mg calcium citrate (generic), 600 mg gelatin capsules (hopefully will help for the hair/nails) and 250 mg Urso (to prevent gall stones). I also get monthly B12 injections. So......when should i take the biotin and when should i take the extra c vits? would you recommend any changes in my vitamin schedule? any advice is wonderful. thanks in advance -keri 12 weeks and -55 pounds!!! — Keri P. Biotin can be taken with your normal vits. Vit C is best taken with iron to
increase absorbancy. The vit b-12 you're taking, is that oral? I think
sublinqual or injectiona are the best absorbancy for us for b-12.

take the biotin and c with your calcium
but i am a little concerned that youre not geting enough calcium,
ive been doing a lot of research on this, and have come up with some
interesting stuff, you might want to browse this site, its for doctors, but
fairly easy to understand
http://www.calciuminfo.com/prof/3_4.htm
its all about calcium and how much is absorbed by your body
for a normal person , they only use 1/2 the amounti n a supplement, as
elemental calcium, and we post ops use even less !
my doctor has me supplementing with 2000 mg of calcium a day , you might
want to talk to yours as well.
good luck !
