Question:
How much do you measure out for 1/4 of the package
I'm still pre-op but trying to figure out how much 1/4 package of real meals would be to mix with 1/2 cup water. — Cynthia A. (posted on September 13, 2003)

Why not take the package and put it in a measuring cup. That would
determine the total volume (2 cup, 1 cup or ??) then divide by 4. So if
there is 1 cup, 1/4 of the amount would be 1/4 cup. If there are 2 cups,
then 1/4 would be 1/2 cup etc. I have not used real meals.

One Real Meals packet contains 1 cup of powder. So measure out 1/4 cup of
the powder. 1/4 cup of Real Meals would contain 15 grams of protein. Good
Luck and Take Care.

I know that the Real meals says it is a cup but if you dump the whole thing
out it is more like 3/4 of a cup so when I measure out half I use a
slightly rounded 1/3 cup and it is perfect. I think when I was doing 1/4
shakes it was 3 1/2 tablespoons per shake. I would just pour it in a cup as
suggested below and see for yourself. The different flavors may measure
differently as well.

Hi, I also am pre-op, 9-30-03. I ordered samples from Vitalady.com, I also
purchased Ziploc brand 3 oz. cups with lids, I divided equally with a
measuring cup, then practiced with one container adding skim milk until it
tasted right to me, so now I have full packets of protein that I can open,
divide and drink as needed. As you are able to drink more then double the
containers.
