Question:
PERSONAL PELVIC GIRL QUESTION HERE! *_*

Ok, so I was looking up info in ref to the Pelvic / Pubic Fatty area and really did not find what I was looking for. Does this go away? Is there an excersize you can do for this? (This fatty "thing" runs in my family so I know its not going to be easy getting rid of it on my own!*_*) If not, Will the insurance cover for this area to be corrected? (I have Aetna PPO) I am almost 3 months post op and down 65 lbs and I tell you sex feels great, it feels so much better already. You feel so much closer! I know that if this thing is gone completely it has to be even better!(I know I am not the only one with this dilemma, so somebody please tell me something good!)Thanks!    — Dayanara A. Mine was lifted when I had my tummy tuck but besure to ask your plastic surgeon if he/she includes it. Mine did it automatically; but one lady in our support group her surgeon DIDNT!; Like I said mine was automatically lifted with my TT and my TT was paid for my Aetna. and it DOES improve your sex life ALOT!

Dayanara, that is my big problem area as well! I haven't had surgery there, and probably won't, who knows maybe later on I will. I have AETNA PPO as well and know it has to be medically necessary, ie. rashes, really bad hanging skin that gets in the way, etc. I can say it has gotten better after getting to my goal weight, but the fatty pouch is still there! Goodluck to you :-)

The area you are refering to is called the 'mons pubis'. And, indeed, mine got tightened up when I had the panniculectomy/tummy tuck, per my request. The doc did a nice job, but I had to get used to all the air flowing whistling past my 'little man in the canoe'...

****Blushing****What is a "little man in a canoe"?

Looking down, on a piece of paper- draw the shape of a canoe. Now sit a man right in the middle of it (looking down, you're only going to see his head)- what does it remind you of? Or picture a canoe, with a man sitting in it, from the side view. Now, flip him and the canoe upsidedown. What body part does it remind you of? PS- the man is a key part of the canoe, he is very special, and you really wouln't want a canoe without that man..........

My plastic surgeon lifted the area during my abdominoplasty. However, it's still fat. I will need a mons pubis reduction. It takes about an hour and a half. The surgeons charge for it is $1800. This will then make the area thinner.
