"The Complete Book of Food Counts" by Corinne T. Netzer. It's a
paperback I got at my local Waldenbooks. Even includes restaurants/major
food chains.

Like the first poster stated The Complete Book. . . . .is a great book. It
counts calories, carbs, protein, cholesterol, sodium, fat and fiber. There
are two other good little pocket books that can be slipped into a purse or
backpack, #1-The pocket Protein Counter by Annette B Natow & Jo-Ann
Heslin, this lists fat, protein, calories and carbs. #2-The Doctor's Pocket
Calorie, Fat & Carb Counter. Both of these last 2 books have ready to
eat, fast and from scratch foods. I am not sure that there is such a book
that lists the sugar content in foods. You may have to look at the food
label on the food product for that info. Maybe I am mistaken and if I am
then I stand corrected. I found these books at Walden Books.

I bought "The Most Complete Food Counter" at Barnes and Noble it
is written by Annette Natow M.A., R.D. and Jo-ann Heslin M.A., R.D It is
very complete and has a very good listing of restraunts and fast food
chains listed. I paid $18.95 for it...well worth it.

Yes, I use 'The Complete Bood of Food Counts' also. It does NOT, however,
count sugar. That is something you must rely on the label(s) for...at
least if you're using this book.
Good luck!

Lisa, Just about everyone that answered here so far has "hit it on the
head". I have them all-just to be sure. Now as far as Dr. Atkin's
book, it only counts proteins and carbs...the others books listed count
*everything*, I suppose it's a good book as well because Dr. Atkins has a
good program. I'd rather have all the information at my fingertips~that way
you'll know right off how much and what you're eating. People look at me
real strange, but I take my books everywhere I go in my purse.
