Question:
Anybody out there eat ostrich meat???I bought ostrich burgers...
today from the whole foods grocer two frozen ostrich burgers which are incredibly delicious and alot lower in fat than my frozen turkey burgers and taste better, now I gave up red meat in highschool, but these things are awesome, where can I find ground ostrich meat to make my own burgers etc, 110 cals, 1.5 grams of fat, and a whopping 23grs of protein-I'm sold on the ostrich. Can you get this from a butcher, or is this something I have to order online — TotallyTori (posted on May 25, 2003)

I have had an ostrich burger. I also found them to be quite tasty. I had
mine when I was traveling, and thought I would try it. I don't know where
you could buy ostrich meat, but buffalo meat is also low in fat and very
tasty. They sell that occasionally at the grocery store. Good luck on
finding ostrich meat. M.Soder

Ostrich is great. I use ostrich or buffalo whenever I make chili. Try
www.exoticmeats.com if you want to order large amounts. I usually just get
mine at Whole Foods though.

I used to see a sign at Fuddruckers that they had Ostrich burgers, but
never tried them. I definately will now.
