Question:
Tyson makes breaded chicken fingers that you bake...
They are not deep fried and any way 3 oz of them which is like 3 chicken fingers have 2.5 grams of fat and I believe like 13 grams og carbs-will this be ok for me to eat about 5 weeks post op-you just bake them in the oven...Tori — TotallyTori (posted on April 12, 2003)

I would try something without the breadng. 1)it adds extra carbs. 2)until I
was about 5 months post op any thing with breading made me nauseated(sp).
Good luck!!!

Tori- if I were you I'd wait a couple more weeks. I don't know what exactly
our diet is, but our surgeon didn't want us eating "regular" food
until 3 months out. It was liquids, then pureed, then soft foods. We could
eat deli turkey and chicken before that though. After a few weeks, I think
that wouldn't be a bad choice for you though.

Victoria, I am 5 weeks post op and wanted a taste of real food myself. I
made those Tyson Chicken fingers...though I did not dump or vomit I felt
terrible for hours after I ate 2...I chewed and chewed and chewed and
chewed to try to make them "puree like" but they still made me
feel terrible. Everyone is different and I learned my lesson to stick to
the program :) Take Care Liz
