Where can I get Proteinex?
I have tried 3 Walgreens and have yet to find Proteinex. Any suggestions, anyone? — J C. (posted on April 15, 2002)

You can order it online from this site:

I went to my local Walgreens and talked with the manager, he was really
great, he found who carried it and made the call. It was there in two
days. It is kind of expensive about $35 for a bottle that only last two
weeks. But it has helped me jump start my weight loss again.

I went to my local pharmasist and he made a call found out where he could
get it and ordered for me. He charged me $25. for a 2 week supply. You
might just want to check with your local I don't know if it is cheaper this
way or ordering from the internet. Best of luck.

I would suggest ,of you haven't already, to order a sample from their
website. I did they send me a sasmple bottle with information. I took one
table spoon first and made me feel so bad for hours until It finally came
back up and made me throw up(sorry for the detail). It is kind of expensive
to throw away if it doesn't work for you.

Here is the toll-free number: 1-866-595-5598
I use the Proteinex a few times a week, it is not bad. It tastes like a
citrus cough syrup. I found that putting it the frig makes it taste better
and the folks at Lloren pharm. said it was ok to store in frig. I think I
paid about $33 for 2/16oz bottles. Any way, that is my opinion on the
stuff. Best wishes on your journey! ~ Debbie

I was very excited about the Proteinex..until I tried it. I am not trying
to be discouraging or to offend anyone who takes it but it is horrible
tasting. I would recommend you try it before you buy a bottle. You can
request a sample. I am now taking something called Amino 2222. You can get
it at GNC and it is 22.99 a bottle. You take 3TBS and it is 22g. of
protein. It is fruit punch flavored and you can mix it with water, crystal
light, or drink straight. I am by no means indorsing this product I am just
trying to help. Jen

I have used Proteinex since I got home from the hospital. I don't mind the
taste at all. I think it is a really easy way to get in 60 grams of
protein. I take 2 tlbs 4 times a day.

I talked with my regular pharmacist and gave him the NDC # from the
website. He ordered it for me and I got it the next day. It was $12 for 8
oz. and $22 for 16 oz. I am glad that I started with the 8 oz. bottle,
because it was really gross! I even tried diluting it in water and it
didn't help. It is very thick.

This is just my personal experience & preference. I was given a sample
Protinex from my nutritionist and while it is loaded with pre-digested
protein that would be great for the by-pass person, I could not get beyond
the incredibly awful taste! (and I can tolerate just about anything) I
tried to mask it but to no avail. I would suggest sticking with a good whey
stack protein powder like pro-score 100 or champion nutrition products.
JMHO!
