Question:
Anybody tried the high protein pasta I saw advertised today?

Today, while visiting my daughter, I saw an advertisement on Lifetime Movie Network for a high protein, low carb pasta. I don't get that channel at my home and I didn't get any of the details from the commercial. Anybody heard of it -- or tried it?    — Linda W. (posted on February 2, 2002)

I don't know about the one you are talking about. But I occasionaly try stuff like that and they taste terrible. Just before Christmas I paid a fortune for some high protein/low carb flour. It was the worst slop I ever "tried" to eat. I threw it out. I suspect the pasta would be as bad. But should there be any great tasting anything that is low carb high protein, I'd be the first in line to buy it. ;)

Try typing in ketobrand in the library. I posted some info about the keto bread. I liked it. I am not sure about the pasta. They say it falls apart easy.

Very, very bad!! Really bad! Makes you want to gag and then dump it in the trash bad! Even covered with good sauce, it's bad. Did I mention it's bad? And the texture is somehow mushy and hard at the same time. On the other hand, there are some great high protein products I love. There is an instant oatmeal called PrOatmeal which is terrific, just like the Quaker instant oatmeal (except this has 15 g of protein per serving). Also love the high protein chocolate biscotti (Keto Cookies). -Kate-

I tried Keto pasta the other day. I put spegetti sause with mushrooms on it and a little parmesean cheese. I thought it was good. I LOVE pasta and was craving it so badly. Maybe this is why it tasted good to me.

Found some called Pasta Lite at Big Lots. HIgh protein, low carb and tastes pretty good, just has a firmer texture. It was cheap too! The dist. co. is Orlando Food Corp. from Maywood, NJ HOpe this helps
