Question:
In What order do you eat your food groups?

AFTER SURGERY WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO PUT YOUR CARBS BEFORE PROTIEN OR VICE VERSA. IF THIS IS CORRECT COULD YOU JUST MAKE SURE 2 MEALS ARE STRICTLY PROTEN AND 1 IS CARB. DONT THESE 2 FOOD GROUPS WORK AGAINST EACH OTHER ANYWAY IF EATEN AT THE SAME TIME??.    — [Anonymous] (posted on November 23, 2001)

No, they don't "war". Protein requires a dab of fat, dab of complex carbs to make it work. Balance works wonders. You get the hang of small bites, balanced. No, sugar does not provide balance.

protein is always first, carbs are always last. fruits and veggies in between. The protein is needed badly by our bodies as we lose the large amounts of weight so quickly, so as not to lose muscle. The carbs, while needed for energy, actually turn into sugar and will most definately slow your weight loss. If possible, you should not eat them until later, after you have lost a majority of your weight. Fruits and veggies, of course, are some of your vitamins and minerals.
