Question:
need advise about protein drinks
I'm having a tough time finding a protein drink that doesn't nauseate me. I seem to remember reading about one that has a taste and texture similar to kool - aid. Could anyone advise me about this? Thanks! — Bobbie B. (posted on October 19, 2001)

I think you are talking about Isopure in a bottle. 40 grams of protein in
it at around 3.50 at GNC.

I THINK THEY ALL ARE TERRIBLE. THE PROTEIN BARS ARE WORSE. IF YOU CAN EAT
THESE THINGS, YOU ARE TOUGHER THAN I.

Unless you aren't getting in your regular food, I don't think protein
drinks are necessary. My surgeon does NOT recommend them. I get my
protein from real food, always have. I've tried some protein drinks but
not on a regular basis. They are sometimes tolerable, but none are truly
good (my opinion). Best wishes.

I use a whey protien powder that is made by Jay Robb. I buy it at Henery's
Market Place. It has no suger and only 7carbs per two scoops. There is 48
grams of protien. I love the chocolate blended with ice. They have a web
site
jayrobb.com,1-877-jay-robb. I was told there is no fillers and its a very
pure product. Hope you can find something you like. Good luck

I definately agree. Isopure is pretty good. It comes in fruit punch,
grape and a couple other flavors. And, its CLEAR, not milky and heavy. I
also like PureProtein. I like the Wild Berry. I bought it in a health food
store. Its in the refridgerated section in ready to serve bottles. I mix
them half and half with strawberry tangeringe crystal light and sip on it
all day. You can even blenderize them with ice to make a slushy. Good
luck.

Extreme Pure Pro is very good, too. It's the only one I can stomach. It
comes in grape, and tropical punch, and mixes up like kool-aid.

I like the Metrx protein drinks and nutrition drinks (extreme chocolate is
the BEST...) I know Vitalady.com sells something that's supposed to taste
like Crystal Light. That Web site also offers samples of a bunch of protein
supplements for a small cost, so you can try several and see what you like.
Good luck! There's a lot of gross-tasting protein supplements out there,
but there are so many that you're bound to find SOMETHING you like!
