Greetings James:
Congratulations on your decision to have weight-loss surgery 5 months ago.
Please do take time to update your profile so we can better help you in
your progress supporting the efforts of your doctor who gave you this tool
to assist you with having a better life. With your current BMI of 38.8
that might mean if you are 5'8" tall that your weight is around 265
lbs. Is that enough information to talk about calories? No. Tell us what
does your doctor, your nutritionist, and your personal trainer advise you
on your calorie consumption and how much exercise and what types are you
getting or should be getting? What about how much water you are consuming
daily? How about protein consumption? What type of surgery did you have?
How much weight have you lost? Please, James, do telll us more. Then,
posters to this forum are in a better position to help support you in your
weight-loss journey. My prayers are with you.

I had RNY 8/28 and I have been told by my Nut several times that calorie
count is dependant on activity level. You must burn more than you consum
to loose.

I had gastric bypass 11 months ago. I was told by my MD and nutritionist
that during the loosing stages to only eat 400 - 600 calories a day.
Believe me, you can eat a lot of food and still stay in that calorie range!
