I was 66 years and 9 months when I Had surgery in March of 2006. The hard
part is finding a surgeon who will consider you at your age. I'm a slow
loser but I have lost nearly 80 pounds since surgery and 110 from my
highest weight. I have had no complications and very little problem
adjusting to the routine. I would do it again in a heart beat. I feel
better than I have in 15 or 20 years! Go fro it and good luck.

My surgeon only does surgeries on people 18-65. I am sure if you look hard
enough you can/will find someone. Good luck.

My surgeon said he has an age limit of 70 and that's ot because he thinks
over that should be excluded....but because of his malpractice insurance
will only insure to 70.

Mary,
Each surgeon has different guidelines. Mt surgeon has a limit of age 65.
Try posting on the 'Over Fifty Forum'. We are the older group and you might
get better ideas about age limits from this lively bunch of women and men.
