Question:
To those at least 2 years out and have tried 5 day pouch test - QUESTION...
I know that the 5 day pouch test is normally used to get that restricted feeling back and not for weight loss. My question is for those RNY or DS post ops that had surgery at least over 2 years ago, got off track, gained some weight (at least 30 lbs), and has since used the 5-day pouch test. I want to know if once you did it, did it help you AND my biggest question is - after doing it, how much weight have you lost after getting that boost from the 5DPT? (Not weight loss since surgery, but since 5DPT) I'm looking for motivation and I'm hoping I can read a post that "speaks" to me. — poodie (posted on May 30, 2009)

I'm 3 years out, got wayyyy off track gaining 40# in 18 months. I did the
5dpt right before going out of town for 6 weeks. I lost 15# during that
time. It really did give me a jump start to get back to eating right,
taking my vitamins-which I slacked off on quite a bit, and feeling better
in general. Hope this helps. Good luck. Barb

Hi, I'm 4.5 years post op. Gained 30 pounds and recently lost about 22 of
those pounds on Weight Watchers and training with the "Couch to
5K" running program. My problem was grazing.
