i had my first fill on july 3rd at 1:00pm. i couldnt eat any solids after
10:00 am that morning of the fill and no liquids past 12:00. then after
the fill, i was on liquids the rest of the day, also on july 4th and was
sick on with a migraine on the fifth so i didnt eat much until about 5 pm
on the fifth. the i started on mushies. i ate some mashed potatoes from
kfc ( that is the only thing i can eat when i am nauseated. ) and mushies
until the sixth in the evening. then i started adding back solids. i did
just fine. i need another fill. i can still eat a cup of food. keep in
mind i only eat 1/2 cup at a time, but at my fill, my doc told me to pick a
day this week and measure out a cup of chicken salad, sit down and slowly
eat and see how much it takes to satisfy me. this will guage how much more
we need to fill. hope this helps!

This is one of those things where seemingly every doctor has a different
protocol. Yours sounds rather strict, but if that's the protocol, there's
a reason for it.
Our surgeon's protocol is nothing by mouth after midnight before a fill,
and liquids for 24 hours, then experiment with caution.

I'm surprised to actually hear all of these restrictions! I was never told
to restrict anything before or after a fill. I just went about eating
normally before and after and never had a problem. I guess every Dr. IS
different! This is the first I've ever heard about this!
