I ate cottage cheese at this point...Also roll up some deli cheese around some lean turkey. Scrambled eggs are good sources of protein. As for as liquid, just sip your drink all day long. I still have problems to this day getting all of my fluids in (I am post 16 months). I also on a Sunday I put a beef roast or pork which ever you prefer in the crock pot for the week and put veggies with it. And eat that for a couple of days and it is so full of protein. I know this doesn't sound very helpful..Good luck

Unflavored protein powder can go into anything; tomato juice, V-8, yogurt, pudding cup, soup, 2 TBS. cheese sauce; refried beans; Also, the protidiet, or clear liquid proteins with great flavors make great drinks. Don't forget Sugar free hot chocolate, too. Also, go to Pam Tremble's blog site (Google Pam Tremble); she has some great recipe ideas for us, and she has a fabulous resource there to share with us! Liquids: Crystal light; tea, sugar free popsicles, tomato juice, coffee, Pam's "Chai protein mix". We have to get used to the idea of probably having some form of food or liquid going into our body every 15-30 minutes, which, frankly, feels wierd. In our "former" bodies, that felt like gorging. But now, we have to liken it to a life-saving IV--a constant steady "drip(s)" of nutrition. No more great spans of hours between eating or drinking. In our "former"bodies, spans of hours between eating made me feel a little "righteous", like "I don't eat that much...how can I be gaining?"; but now, too long between meals is like "cutting our own nose off to spite our own face" as the old idiom goes. Stay on the nutrition train...hang in there!

Got to BariatricEating.com. They have the absolutely BEST tasting protein powders and ready to drink protein drinks. Most are very low in calories and fat, and very high in protein. Also, go to your local GNC or Vitamin Shoppe and pick up some ready to drink IsoPure and/or New Whey Bullets. The IsoPure comes in several flavors, my favorites are Grape Frost and Icy Orange and Pineapple Orange Banana - it's like adult koolaid with 40 grams of protein. The New Whey Bullets have 42 grams in 3 concentrated ounces and comes in Orange, Grape, Fruit Punch and Blue Raspberry flavors - but it is a little thick and although sweet, it's pretty tart, too... so I would make myself a big cup of herbal fruit flavored tea and pour the bullet into it. Made it nice and tangy, and I missed that when I no longer needed to supplement with protein drinks.
