Question:
Plastic Surgeon in Southern California who takes Triwest insurance

I know Im jumping the gun here only being 3 weeks post op from RNY. But I have alot of time on my hands! I was wondering if anyone in SoCal that has tricare could recommend who they went to or know of anyone who went to a good plastic surgeon. I know my belly is going to need work and My girls already face the floor so I know they will need a lift! I called tricare before my RNY to ask them if they pay for skin removal and breast lift and they said yes as long as I can show that there is a problem making me need it done.    — Kimberlin Katayama (posted on July 9, 2008)

Kimberlin, I too have Tricare and had RNY Feb 20. I havent had a TT or anything yet...still to early, but if when you start having results start going to your PCP and complaining of itching, rashes from the overhanging panni, and complain of back pain from the girls hanging low. Go every week if you have too, make sure it gets documented. Once you have established that, your PCP should be able to refer you to a PS and/or Dermo doc, and document so more. Going to Tricares website and looking for a PS doc is easy, and you can cross reference any doc with the appropriate professional affiliation group ie american society of plastic surgeons or dermotologists.
