i use designer whey(chocolate) from GNC also sugar free carnation instant
breakfast is good, i then add some sugar free choc syrup, or a sugar free
flavored syrup that i found in the coffee isle at the grocery store. i
find these to be very good.

Hi, I use ISOPURE-premix bottles has 45 gm protein, has many flavors. Use
ESSENTIAL NATURAL-100% protein. mix 2cups skim milk with 2 scoops of
protein..sometimes add a banana..sugar free yogurt 8 to 10 ice cubes..blend
and have a smoothie. Also use AMPLIFY smoothies blend same amount milk and
protein with ice. These I do in the morning at night I use a 8oz of hot
water and a 1/2 or so scoop of SYNTHA-6 mochaccino mix well with a fork and
enjoy. ALL of my products I have gotten from GNC. The GNC by me allowes you
to taste differnt brands. I have liked al of the flavored drinks other than
a Vanilla. Most of the people in my group are better off than me and order
thiers off line. VITA LADY is good..to pricey for me. I buy 1 get one 1/2
price or buy 2 get the third free. There are many brands out there that are
good and it seems our tastes change so it is a trail and error type thing.
BEST of LUCK!

I am 4 years post op. I really enjoy Proti-Diet Hot Chocolate Mix. I get it
from NashuaNutrition.com. You can get it in a box of 7 packets or in a jug
that has 21 servings. It has 15 grams of protein per serving. It may seem a
little pricey to some, but the taste will bring you back for more. Good
Luck.

Unjury is the best if you can afford it. Slim-fast (low carb) is good with
20 grams of protein and no carbs. (Wal-mart)

I would have to agree w/ the others..the Isopure is one of the better ones
that I have tried. However, I use only one scoop w/ 8oz of water. That is
33 grams of protein. If I use the 2 scoops then it is too chocolatey. I
have one shake in the AM and one in the PM. 66 grams of protein.

I make up my own packets. one scoop protein powder (designer whey natural
flavor) 2/3 cup no-fat instant milk and one Tablespoon any flavor sf/ff
instant pudding. Mix all with 10 oz water. You can add some Ice to make
it thicker. I mix the dry ingredients ahead and store in a baggie. Great
to have and convenient to carry.

Hi! I am an unjury fan. I buy the unflavored and mix with nestles flavored
water. Its 20 grams protein in one scoop..which is what you mix to 16 oz. I
prefer the unflavored but it comes in other flavors including chicken broth
that I use to mix with boullion early on. When I started using it I mixed
it with milk. Best of luck to you. hugs, Kim

Two favorites.... Walmart sells a powder called Body Fortress which I just
bought ($14 for 2 lbs!) and the vanilla smells wonderful. I do that up
with some like soy milk and a banana and/or some strawberries and it's just
fine. Also, although expensive, you can't beat Isopure Zero Carb drinks (I
love apple melon). They're 200 cal and 40g of protein(!). Take just like
kool-aid to me. I can only find them in the Vitamin Shoppe stores, but you
can get them online or maybe GNC. Good luck!

I too am an UNJURY fan. You can order it at www.unjury.com. Unjury
powders mix well, no blender needed and have no after or bitter taste. I
mix the strawberry or chocolate with 8 oz. skim milk. That gives you 28 g
protein. (I was told that our bodies cannot absorb more than 30 g of
protein at one time.) I also love to mix the vanilla with my decaf coffee
in the morning. If you like thicker drink like shakes mix with ice and
fruit in the blender. I've tried several other protein powders but once I
tried UNJURY I was hooked. Good luck!

I like EAS powder you can get it at Sam's. I mix one scoop with 8 to 10 oz
of milk and it reminds me of yohoo. It's 25 grams of protien.

I really loved PROTIDIET you mix a pack with water (I used 16ounc bottled
water) and you have 15 grams of protein. It's easy, fast and comes in many
flavors (kiwi-melon, MY FAV) they are easy to carry in your purse, pocket
or leave in car. Good Luck.

I dont like the unjury but havent finished all of the 2 containers I
bought.(vanilla and chocolate) It does have an after-taste and I can handle
the chocolate better than the vanilla. When I get ready for more, Im going
to try those at walmart and see if they are better tasting.

Protein is such a personal taste that you really cannot get an accurate
comparison anymore than you will if you had asked who likes liver? Some
will and some will not! Protein powder to me is like liver..YUCKY! Your
best bet is to just go to a large vitamin chain store or two and try to
find samples or ask for them... It's really going to be hit or miss if even
if you pick the most popular brand that many seem to like. It's really THAT
personal a taste! I hae most of them and whey gives me a wicked belly
ache...I can't even stand the smell of whey..It makes me gag...I do however
suggest that you get one that is isolated as this is a more refined/pure
whey or soy product and the lactose is separated as well from the whey or
soy and that makes it easier to digest especially if you are or do become
lactose intolerant.

I ordered a pretty complete sample package of Protein Drinks and stuff,
along with a book called "Before and After" from
www.bariatriceating.com. The samples were mostly single serving, and the
package even included 4 ready-to-drink protein drinks that were to die for
(Oh Yeah Vanilla Creme and Oh Yeah Chocolate Creme were two of them - I
thought I'd died and gone to heaven), and the package also included a
shaker bottle to mix them with. It was something like $59, and with
shipping, a total of $70 something. But it was worth it to me, because I
didn't have to go running around trying to find different drinks that had
individual sizes, and the book was really good too... I read it in about
two days, and it includes about 135 recipes that WLS patients can make for
their families, but that they can also eat, too. AND, it gives you the
nutritional information for the WLS-sized portions.

I found that the GNC Dymatize Nutrician Elite Gourmet is my favorite. I
have tried the Milk Choco, Choc-Peanut Butter and Cookies & Cream and
they are excellent. I have ordered the Strawberries & Cream 2 times
but it is always out of stock (a good sign?). It is on backorder for me
now. It comes in 5 lb. containers but my hubby uses it too so it goes
pretty fast. Each serving is 21 to 25 grams of protein so having it 2x a
day is great to keep protein levels up.

If you go to BARIATRICADVANTAGE.COM you can go to contact us. Just write in
the box that you would like samples & what samples you would like to
try & they will contact you back via email & send you out 1 serving
size samples for what you requested. Just got mine in the mail. They ended
up sending out like 10 different things to me. Hope this helps!

Just Say No to Protein Shakes. They are for Body Builders not post op
weight loss patients. You will gain your weight back eventually if you get
hooked on them. I get all my protein from food. Eggs, cottage cheese,
cheese, meat, ect...I am 5 years post op and I weigh 125 lbs. I eat all day
just small things. My surgeon told me the only way this surgery works is to
eat. I do eat whatever and whenever I want. I can't gain a pound.

I take Max Protein. Best tasting protein ever. One scoop has 22 gms of
protein in it. I'm a chocoholic so I buy the chocolate...but, it also
comes in strawberry, vanilla and cookies & creme. You can buy it at
GNC. It's around $30 for a 2 lb. tub.
