I drank the new whey protein bullets. it is a 3 oz bullet that has 42g of
protein. I drank 1 oz at a time about an hour apart. I drank hot tea, K20
water at room temp becuase cold bothers me.... there are alot of different
choices out there. The trick is to find somethings that you like and try
to rotate flavors so that you don't get bored....

I drank a lot of hot tea, diluted apple juice (very diluted), water with
crystal light (but more diluted than usual), tea with splenda or stevia,
and vodka (heheh just kidding). I tried out different fruit juices that
were all fruit and no sugar added and just diluted them as much as i could.
I also did the whey protein bullets after my first two weeks and tried a
few protein shake mixes. Hope that helps. Good Luck!!!

My Nut told my not to use the protein bulltets, In cluding the "new
Whey" That the new whey is primary source of protein is from collegen,
same stuff makes jello.
There is Isopure protein waters, and ofcourse shakes. I have to say I had a
alot of trouble with both after surgery. After surgery you sense of taste
is alot different.
Good luck

I drank the whey protein bullets for protein.. isn't it funny what
different nutritionsit's recommend? Mine is the one that told me to check
the whey bullets out. I liked them because it's so small but gets you 42 g
of protein.. that worked pretty well for me. Don't chill them though.. they
get very thick and taste bad.. they are best at room temp! I also drank a
lot of water.. I kept a water bottle with me at all times. Sometimes I
added crystal light, but a lot of times i just drank the water.
Occasionally had some apple juice.. just a very small amount. My doctor
recommended that to keep from going into ketosis. Tried 2% and lowfat milk
but it caused me a lot of problems.. suspect I have always had a problem
with lactose intolerance.. in past when I drank milk, it was always along
with a lot of other food. But with smaller stomach.. seems I react to the
lactose now..so i switched to soy milk and haven't had any problem with
that. And you can get light soy milk too.. but I don't drink too much of
that anyway.

A lot of plain room temp water, Crystal Lite For a few days and then the
taste of it within a few days after sugery would make me gag, SF Tang,
Propel, Isopure Carb Free Protein (glass bottle), I became lactose
intolerant so milk was out soon after surgery along with anything Whey. I
could handle a little isolated whey only. I had all kinds of Whey powders
all stocked up and I can't drink any of them anymore...even 5 years later I
cannot tolerate whey. BIG time belly aches. Decaf tea (cooled to warm) was
a another nice soothing drink to me.
That's about it for the first year...I started drinking coffee sometime
after several months...

I ordered ProtiDiet fruit drink packets. I also used Crystal lite, and
K2O. I have used the protein bullets but with all I put into 32 oz of
water because then I got my water with the protein over a period of time.
I don't like plain water unless it is very cold that now hurts my pouch.
Everything at warm or room temp. My surg was 11.3.08.

Just a word of advice... Don't stock up on anything you can drink or eat
before surgery because your taste may change.
I drank room temp water, crystal light, chicken broth cooled, CIB drink...
Can not now handle CIB drink, protein bullets, chicken broth, any protein
drink that I have tried.
Now drink decaf tea- warm or cooled after 3 weeks
